*Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Daredevils: KXIP beat DD by six wickets.*
In the second match of Vivo IPL 2018, Kings XI Punjab secured an easy win over Delhi Daredevils at Mohali cricket ground.Delhi Daredevils came to bat first and put up a target of 167 runs before the Kings XI Punjab.A young spinner from Afghanistan Mujeeb Ur Rehman did a remarkable job in his debute match.He took up 2 wickets and gave just 28 runs in his spell. When Kings XI Punjab came to bat, KL Rahul showed his talent and played a wonderful innings of 51 runs in which he hit 6 fours and 4 sixes. In this match,he made fastest half century of his career.He was dismissed at 51 but his inning put Kings XI Punjab in a dominant position in the match and they easily managed to win the match after that. Karun Nair played an important role in the middle overs.He scored 50 runs of 33 balls.He was dismissed in the 16th over but he did his job and Kings XI Punjab easily won the match with 7 balls remaining.Today Yuvraj Singh was struggling and he disappointed his spectators.
In the first inning when Delhi Daredevils came to bat, they lost their wickets at regular intervals throughout their inning.Mujeeb took the wicket of Colin Munro at the score of 4 on the third ball of his IPL career.The new captain Gautam Gambhir played a captain inning.He scored 55 runs from 42 balls.He was run out by Mujeeb . After
Gambhir Rishabh Pant also lost his wicket at the score of 28 off 13 balls.
With the help of Chris Morris 28 quick runs, Delhi Daredevils were able to put up a decent toral to defend before the Kings XI Punjab but when KL Rahul came to bat, in the first 4 overs of the match, it was clear that Daredevils have no hope in this match.When he came to bat the first 2 ball he faced in his inning were dots but after that out of 11 balls he faced only one ball was such which could not clear the boundaries otherwise all the balls went for sixes and fours. KL Rahul went back to pavilion in the fifth over but till then he had done his work .After that, the required run rate was very less and with the help of Karun Nair wonderful knock and David Miller 24 of 23 balls and Marcus stoinis 22 of 15 balls Kings XI Punjab easily won the match.
*KL RAHUL* was given the title of *’Man of the Match’* for his wonderful inning.
After their first win in the tournament, Kings XI Punjab will look ahead to win the tournament and Delhi Daredevils will try to come back on the track again in their next match by winning the match.
